1st Quarter Test

This week are taking our first quarter tests...we took Reading yesterday, Math without the calculator today, and then Math with the calculator tomorrow! We will finish up our first quarter testing in Wednesday. Please ask your child how things went during testing. Thank you!

Book Orders Due Thursday!!

Just wanted to remind everyone that the October Scholastic Book Order is due this Thursday, October 27th!

Please get your orders finalized and send them in by this Thursday. There are some great deals this month and when you order it helps our classroom.

Homework - Wednesday, October 5th

Math - Finish X-Table and Complete Problem Solving WS 6.6

Reading - Read 20 min. - complete log - due Friday

Spelling-10 Sentences - Test Friday

Social Studies - NC Dailies - due Friday

Other - Please send in $6.50 for PTA. We are very close to having 100%!!!!

MULTIPLICATION FACTS...A MUST!!!!

Please spend at least 15 minutes a night working with your child on their multiplication facts. It is imperative that they have these facts memorized...ASAP. They should have had them memorized last year. We will not be spending a lot of time in class learning these facts. We have to move on into 3 digit by 1 digit multiplication and eventually all the way in to 3 digit by 3 digit...all of that will be done before the end of the quarter. So, as you can see it is very, very important that your child have their facts memorized. Flash cards are a great way to practice these and they can be purchased at the Dollar Tree, etc. The students are already being tested, assuming they know these, since they should have learned them last year. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.

McTeacher Night - TOMORROW!!

McTeacher Night will take place at the McDonalds on University Pkwy,

near Stanleyville, Wal-Mart, etc. tomorrow night, Tuesday, October 4th!

Please come out to see your favorite teachers working at McDonald's

and have some yummy food too....we will get a portion of the money

that people pay during that time.
